Nolan is the main character of this comic, even if it took him three weeks to make an appearance.

Sarah goes through life with few long term plans, and has made most major decisions on a whim. This isn't because there's nothing she wants out of life. It's because she wants everything.

Arthur wants nothing more than a quiet life spent in seclusion and study. Unfortunately he has no idea where to find this life, so instead he's just taken to following Sarah around. So far this has not resulted in a quiet life.
